The Lod 2014 service project was unique in many ways and we had plenty of hiccups along the way. We intended to help renovate a computer room within the Shachar Club of Ethiopian National Project. As we began to renovate the space we noticed a black mold issue within the building. The building was then inspected and condemned for use until the mold was treated by a professional. It was sad that we couldn’t complete what we wanted to accomplish so we called our friends at Jewish National Fund (JNF).
The group was able to have a more vacation type of trip to Israel and we were able to see many of the sites that JNF supports. Places like Akko, Atlit detention camp, and other small businesses through the Western Galil Business Chamber of Commerce. All in all, it was a great trip because we got to bond as a group but also the teens know who we were and we really connected. Check out our pics below from that trip.
